Pleasant View Baptist Church has a mission to reach the community with the love of Christ.  The church loves the people of this community and always makes visitors feel at home.  As many of you are aware, our neighborhood watch meetings are held at this church.

We have a friendly church that loves the community and wants to help where and when it can.  Our services are on Sunday morning starting at 9:45 AM for a relaxed assembly, followed by  Sunday School at 10:00 and a worship service that starts at 11 AM and lasts about 1 hour. It is a very interesting service and a great place to improve your knowledge of God and what the Lord has in store for us in the present and the future.  Sunday night the service starts at 6:30 PM.  Wednesday night the service starts at 7:00 PM

We have so much to be grateful for our community and in for our families.  God is good!

We want to welcome our new members Milton and Susan .  They have been neighbors in our community for many years.  It is great to have them part of our church family. 

February 27, 2017  We enjoyed speaking with our visitor, Tyler, this past Sunday.  Visitors of every race, creed, and social background are always welcome in God's House.  Please join us Sundays at 11:00 AM for 1 hour of fellowship and learning from the Holy Bible the deep meaning and joy that God has in store for each one of us.  See you there!                       

 March 14, 2017 We have had a great success with the children working with the various crafts.  We teach the love of God through the children enjoying the various work in crafts.  They really enjoy this. 

 May 17, 2017  Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM has been interesting as we are learning from the bible in the book of Joshua. Pastor David Harman is beyond doubt the most interesting teacher of the bible that I have ever heard for the past 40 years. Maybe that  is why I joined Pleasant View Baptist Church 12 years ago.  What is so lovely about his teachings is that he always lifts up the love of God for all regardless of peoples past mistakes.  Pastor David teaches the salvation that God gives through his Son Jesus Christ in that through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ he took our penalty for sin, so that we have everlasting life and a joy of living.  Please join us.  Come and hear for yourself and make up your own mind.  God loves you. 

July 26, 2017  We have been reading and learning in the bible in the book of Joshua that our God intervenes in the affairs of people.  Also that God will eventually judge if we continue to ignore him and his wisdom.  We are glad that the Lord has mercy on all of us.  We are not perfect.  God loves us anyway, but He is not a person for us to trifle with or to belittle in our lives.  God is good in the rain as well as the sunshine.

August 7, 2017  We enjoyed the special singing and piano playing of Alan Hutchins recently.  Come and join us as we see in Jesus Christ the love that we may share with others.

September 17, 2017  We continue are prayers for brothers Joesph, Roydan, Jack, and Frank.  We remember in prayer sister Lilly with her failing health.  Please join us as we are looking at the story of Joseph and Jacob and how God worked in their lives.  This is not only interesting in the way the Pastor David teaches in his gifted way, but also is a help to us in our daily lives.  Come and see!

October 18, 2017  We are having a great time on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM learning how God uses people with little talent to do great things.  Gideon was one of those people in the bible that we have been enjoying learning about.  What a story and lesson!  Come and join us.  No charge and no hassle.

November 8, 2017.  We had a celebration of the life and testimony of Mrs. Lillie Scott on November 1, 2017.  She checked out of this earthly scene and into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday October 29, 2017. I knew her kindness and patience and I never heard her say a bad thing about anyone.  She was faithful at every service and sang in the choir.  She was 87 and loved the Lord.  Pastor David had a powerful, and meaningful message for all during the special service for Lillie.  We all laughed when Pastor David mentioned several remarks about the wonderful sense of humor of Lillie.  If you have not yet found the joy in life that Lillie had found and still has in heaven,  come and join us at our services.  The times are stated on the top of this page.  We learn and try to put into shoe leather the teachings of Jesus Christ. We have a church where you do not have to feel nervous or anxious to attend.  In short, the poor, the rich, the burdened, the sad, the curious, and all races are welcome in God's house.  Make a difference in  your life .  Want to know if Jesus Christ will make a difference in your life?  COME AND SEE!!

January 2, 2018  The children of the church put on a very excellent play during Christmas.  We are grateful for all the children and pray God's blessings upon their lives.

January 28, 2018  Good news about one of our most loved members.  Melvin had great success with his heart operation and is back in church working the sound system.  What a loved and wonderful man he is and his wife Nancy too. We can see God's mighty hand move with people like Melvin.  As the Lord asks in the Bible. "Is there anything too hard for the Lord."  God can heal the body and the mind.  He can make a difference in your life too.  Come and see!  

February 28, 2018  We had a neighborhood watch meeting for the purpose of improving our community.  A special thanks to Sergeant Kevin Burns for his input and support.  Looking for a church with a family atmosphere and caring people?  Come and join us.

April 19, 2018  We are going through Chronicles.  Why? It teaches us what to do when problems arise in our lives.  Where to find that power that we all need from the Creator of the universe.  How can this be?  Come and see.  You are loved and welcomed in our church regardless of your religion, faith, or the lack thereof.

February 19, 2019  If you are new to the community are visiting from elsewhere please come and join us as our personal guest.  We share the word of God and never try to push our beliefs on others.  The Word of God is found in Jesus Christ.  We are friends to all.  Come and see!

April 11, 2019  Easter is approaching this month. What is it all about?  It is the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  We worship him and love him because he first loved us and paid the penalty of our sins on the cross.  Jesus told his disciples that he and the Father are one.  God is indeed one person in a way that is hard to completely understand.  God is love, mercy, kindness, justice and wisdom and much more.  The bible says that for those who find it hard to believe to " taste of the Lord and see that he is good."  Tired of religious nuts.  Me too.  Read the New Testament and you judge for yourself. Don't forget to ask God to help you find the TRUTH.  Come and join us in our worship service.  Come dressed as you are and make yourself at home.  We are as you are.  That is, we are not perfect. 

May 4, 2019. Jeff Reiner and his family will be returning to Brazil soon.  They are work sharing the good news of eternal life and joy on this earth.  You are welcome to join us . Jeff is always ready to explain the love of God to all and be a friend in Christ.

August 5, 2019  Jeff Reiner has returned to Brazil to share the good news of Jesus Christ to that country.  Come and join us at Pleasant View Baptist Church at 11:00 AM for an informal worship of our great Creator.  We are just sinners saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.

November 22, 2019  We will be having a fellowship supper on December 9, 2019 at 6:00 PM. We remember the love that our Lord had for the disciples and how he showed humility in washing their feet.  Christ said that he has a commandment for his children.  "That we should love one another"  The world needs more love and less hatred.

September 30,  2020  We regret the passing of Ken Barnes recently. He was a man that entered our congregation and loved God.  He would come often with his crutches with a lot of sacrifice. He was always cheerful despite his many problems including dialysis. Though he had lost the wife that he loved so much he always had a song in his heart.  Kenny, we miss you.                                                                                                                 

 November 17, 2020  Pastor David Harman is recovering from a double knee operation and is doing well.  It was great to see him at Church last Sunday.
